Amir Khan has vowed to KO Danny Garcia tonight in Las Vegas - and then plans to move up to welterweight to face Floyd Mayweather.
Khan vs. Garcia takes place at 02:00 BST and airs live on Sky Sports in the UK, with Khan the huge odds-on favourite with bookmakers to be victorious.
The Bolton fighter goes into his light-welterweight bout with WBC holder Garcia as WBA champion after Lamont Peterson was stripped of the title.
"This is my chance to prove that I'm the best in the division," said Khan ahead of tonight's showdown.
"I can win the WBC title and will have held three of the four belts, so it's time to move up to 147lbs."
Both Khan and Garcia weighed in at 139lbs on Friday, one pound under the 10 stone light-welterweight limit.
The Ring Magazine title, awarded when the best two fighters in the division face each other, is also up for grabs tonight.
Khan has promised to knock his opponent out tonight, but the undefeated Garcia, who is the huge underdog according to the bookies, remains confident.
"He gets hurt in nearly every fight," said the American.
"Then he runs after he gets hurt. That's not defence. When he gets hurt on Saturday night, that's what he'll do again.
"He can run but he can't hide."
With the belts on the line, Garcia added: "It's great that this is a unification fight, it just keeps getting better and better for me."
Khan has had a lengthy and arduous route back to the ring with a whole host of ongoings since his December 2011 defeat to Peterson. Put simply, his performance on that occasion was not good enough and he seemed more interesting in proving he could take a punch rather than fighting the way his camp would have liked him to. If Khan reverts to his usual strategy of bouncing in and out and throwing fast straight shots tonight, then this fight could be over quickly.
And Khan is already looking beyond tonight. If he were to move up a weight division, he would target a bout with multi-world champion Mayweather.
'Money' has won all 43 of his professional fights and is a massive box office draw.
"I just think there are more challenges out there for me in that division," said Khan on Friday.
"I want to be in big world title fights and in big fights with the likes of Mayweather. To do that, I need to be up in that division.
"It's not about the money, it's about me knowing I can beat the guy and be the next guy at the top, the next pound for pound champion."
First he needs to defeat Garcia, and providing he is focused, he should be able to do just that.
Prediction: Khan in seven.
