Floyd Mayweather vs. Miguel Cotto - Mayweather returns to the ring tonight

Floyd Mayweather vs. Miguel Cotto is TONIGHT! (credit: JOHN GURZINSKI/AFP/GettyImages)
Floyd Mayweather Jr. makes his return to the ring tonight when he takes on Miguel Cotto (04:00 BST start).

Tonight's pay-per-view clash will be Mayweather's final fight before he serves a 90-day jail sentence after he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor in a domestic violence case last year.

Mayweather is the huge odds-on favourite with bookmakers to be victorious against Cotto in a fight which is widely seen as a subplot to a Mayweather vs.Manny Pacquiao clash at the end of the year.

There is still a lot of work to do behind the scenes before Mayweather vs. Pacquiao is confirmed, however, and Cotto will be looking to cause an upset tonight in Las Vegas.

Mayweather is undefeated, with a 42-0 record (26 knockouts) going into tonight's fight. Cotto is 37-2 (30 knockouts).

'Money' is reportedly in line to pocket in excess of $30million from tonight's fight.

Crunchsports.com will have a full Mayweather vs. Cotto preview online later today.
