Carson Jones has vowed to make Kell Brook's face look "very nasty" when the two go head-to-head this evening.
Brook vs. Jones takes place tonight in Sheffield (Sky Sports, 9pm), with Brook the huge odds-on favourite with bookmakers to be victorious.
Jones believes he can cause an upset though, telling Boxing Scene: "I agree we will see the nasty Kell Brook, because after I beat the hell out of him his face will look very nasty.
"This kid is confused about what he is up against. There is no quit in me, which is why I am in this position I am in right now. I never gave up."
The war of words aside, the fight is of huge importance to both men given that the winner is likely to be rewarded with an IBF title fight against Randall Bailey, who recently defeated Mike Jones to claim the vacant belt.
Carson, though, is looking beyond that and fancies a crack at another British fighter, Amir Khan.
"Amir Khan is a good boxer but I don’t think he has the heart to match, and I think I would stop him just like I will Kell Brook," he added.
Unbeaten welterweight Brook, however, believes he is on the verge of becoming the next "superstar" of British boxing.
Speaking ahead of tonight's fight, the 26-year-old said: "I could be British boxing's next superstar.
"The Americans are starting to hear about me, so I want to be making a statement in this fight and taking care of Carson in style."
Brook is two places below Jones in the rankings, but has won all of his 27 fights.
"We know he is probably going to be my toughest fight to date," he added.
"This is a chance to earn even more recognition by beating a guy who is well respected."
