There are just a few hours to go until Australia and England get the first Ashes Test underway in Brisbane on Thursday (midnight GMT start)

Ahead of the start of play at The Gabba on Thursday which gets the 2010 Ashes series underway, here are how the squads line up for the first of the five-match series:

Australia squad: Ricky Ponting (captain), Michael Clarke (vice-captain), Doug Bollinger, Xavier Doherty, Brad Haddin, Mike Hussey, Ben Hilfenhaus, Mitchell Johnson, Simon Katich, Marcus North, Peter Siddle, Steven Smith, Shane Watson.
