The 2016 Cheltenham Festival continues this afternoon and Sky Sports presenter Alex Hammond has revealed her tips for the second day of the four-day extravaganza.

Thousands always look out for Alex’s tips, who picked out a couple of winners on Tuesday, and she believes No More Heroes could be one to watch in the RSA Chase.

Writing on her Sky Sports blog, Alex said: “I’ve always been a fan of No More Heroes. Gordon Elliott’s charge is three-from-three over fences, including in Grade Ones the last two times, which makes him a restrictive price for this. He looks the best staying novice on paper at the moment with proven form at the highest level.”

Of the first race of the day, the Neptune Investment Management Novices’ Hurdle, Alex added: “Alan King’s Yanworth is a potential banker for many. Once again, though, with Sky Bet offering money back as a free bet in the opening race, it could be worth taking him on. He’s a class act and will take some beating.”

Diamond King is of interest in the Coral Cup, while Alex has revealed that until recently, the Queen Mother Champion Chase didn’t “float her boat.”

But she notes: “Take the favourite out and it’s very competitive, with three former winners. Un De Sceaux will have to be up to speed with his jumping as there will be no margin for error.”

She added: “You will need nerves of steel if you are an Un De Sceaux backer – he is a hot head and Ruby will need to keep a lid on him. Despite that, I really fancy him and am struggling to find an alternative.”

Diego Du Charmil is of interest in the Fred Winter, while Alex believes New To This Town is one to watch in the Champion Bumper.
