Los Angeles Lakers and Cleveland Cavaliers Now Co-Favorites

Crunch Sports Staff - 4 Mar 2010

The Cavs and Lakers now have identical odds in the futures market.

Players Only have updated their odds for the outright winner's market for the 2010 NBA Finals.  Whereas the Los Angeles Lakers have been the outright leader since odds were first announced, now the Cleveland Cavaliers have shortened to such an extent that both teams are now co-favorites.

The odds for either team at this point are +140 (7/5) while Denver and Orlando are both at +800 (8/1).

Interestingly enough the Boston Celtics now have very long odds for the 2010 NBA Championship as they have drifted way out to +1500 (15/1) in the outright winner's market with Players Only.  Compare that price with +700 (7/1) for the Celtics at BetUS and the Players Only odds certainly appear to have some value.

While we've been backing Cleveland for the championship for several weeks now, sprinkling Boston might be a good backup plan now that their odds are quite long.  If you want to top-up Cleveland, that certainly would not be a bad move but go to BetUS as they have the Cavs priced at +200 (2/1) odds that provide better value for you at this point.
