NBA Miami Heat vs Cleveland Cavaliers

Crunch Sports Staff - 4 Feb 2010

Cleveland have been hot against all the teams they have faced.

LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers are looking to win their third straight game over Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat tonight.

NBA basketball betting odds with Bodog have the Cavs as -9.5 favorites and at -650 (2/13) on the moneyline.

Miami and Cleveland have played two intense games, with James and the Cavaliers prevailing in both, including a 92-91 victory on Jan. 25.

James and Wade each scored 32 points in that contest, but Wade scored only two in the second half and missed two critical free throws in the final minute, setting the stage for James’ winning free throws with 4.1 seconds left.

The first game between the teams was just as hard fought. James scored 34 points and Wade had 36 in Cleveland’s 111-104 victory Nov. 12.

After defeating the Heat twice in Miami, the Cavaliers will look to win their fifth straight at home over the Heat. Miami hasn’t topped 90 points in any of those contests but since the games this season have been tight, picking Miami for the upset tonight might be worth the risk at +425 (17/4).

Our recommendation, however, is to take a more conservative approach to this game and just pick Miami to cover the spread as the Cavs have been too hot lately to bet against in a straight up situation.
