Duke currently have long odds but those won't last too long if they get a number 1 seed in the NCAA tournament.
Selection Sunday is next weekend on March 14th and the NCAA basketball selection committee will communicate their final decisions about who is who and who goes where in the March Madness National Championship tournament before the players and coaches have their own say on the court.
There is still a ton of basketball to be played in the days leading up to Selection Sunday as Championship Week, the week where most of the conferences have their playoff tournaments, is about to get underway. The Big East teams will be in action, the Big Ten will be in action, and of course, among others, the Atlantic Coast Conference will be in action where the Duke Blue Devils will be the number 1 seed.
The Blue Devils are not a lock in the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament as the Maryland Terrapins are viewed as a serious threat to Duke, especially since the Terrapins just defeated the Blue Devils a few days ago. However Duke are better than the Terrapins who won in large part because of their home court advantage and because it was an emotional senior's night for key Terrapin players, including outstanding guard Grevis Vasquez.
