UCONN and Kentucky will meet in one of the national semifinals on Saturday.

The Connecticut Huskies and the Kentucky Wildcats are scheduled to meet on Saturday in one half of the national semifinals.

Connecticut enter the game as the highest seed remaining in the tournament and having survived by the skin of their teeth last weekend.

UCONN had to dodge a three point shot at the buzzer against Arizona to make the Final Four and many now consider the Huskies the favorite for the national championship behind coach Jim Calhoun.

Calhoun, unlike Kentucky's Head Coach John Calipari, has won a national title not just once but twice before and Connecticut have player of the year candidate Kemba Walker, a player with Final Four experience, playing well.

But the sportsbooks (ie. SkyBet) do consider Kentucky to be the outright favorite and a big part of that is no doubt their performance from the Elite 8, where they eliminated the North Carolina Tar Heels by seven points.

The winner between Connecticut and Kentucky will be the favorite to win the national championship, a scenario neither team could have expected when March began.

Game time between Connecticut and Kentucky on Saturday is scheduled for 8:49pm ET with CBS providing the television coverage.
