The PAC 10 has been one of the weakest major conferences so far this season.
The Stanford Cardinal lead the PAC 10 in our power poll for the conference. Here's our list of PAC 10 teams, their records, and what's coming up next.
1: Stanford Cardinal (3-1-1 ATS, 4-3 SU) (LW: 2) Last week, the Cardinal took off. It returns to the hardwood this week with a pair of home dates.
On Deck: Home vs. UC-Davis, Home vs. Oklahoma State
2: Oregon State Beavers (3-1 ATS, 4-3 SU) (LW: 3) Give it up for the Beavers, who have rolled together three straight wins and are beginning to round into a team that looks like it may win a few games in conference after years and years of struggles. Now, can they pull off another one in Big Red country?
On Deck: Away @ Nebraska
3: Washington State Cougars (3-3 ATS, 6-2 SU) (LW: 5) The Cougars had a mixed bag of results this week against the spread, but wasn't good enough to pick up a SU victory in either game. However, Wazzou really shouldn't lose again in 2009, and it should sport an 11-2 record before Pac-10 play gets started.
On Deck: Home vs. Idaho, Home vs. Air Force
4: Arizona Wildcats (3-3-1 ATS, 3-4 SU) (LW: 1) Arizona is going to have a tough, tough time making the NCAA Tournament with results like these hanging over its head. Three straight losses both SU and ATS will probably leave the Cats without a legitimate non-conference win this year, and losses in any of these upcoming games could prove fatal.
On Deck: Home vs. Louisiana Tech, Away @ San Diego State
5: Oregon Ducks (3-4 ATS, 4-3 SU) (LW: 4) The Ducks were simply smacked by Mizzou on Saturday 106-69. This is a big test this week against the Gaels, who are averaging 84.0 points per game this year.
On Deck: Home vs. St. Mary's
6: California Golden Bears (3-4 ATS, 5-3 SU) (LW: 7) The Bears have basically held serve and haven't had many shocking results this year. Losses to Syracuse, Ohio State, and New Mexico are all excusable, but at some point, they're going to have to pick up some SU 'W's in order to make a case to make the field of 65.
On Deck: Away @ Pacific
7: UCLA Bruins (2-3 ATS, 2-5 SU) (LW: 8) There's no consolation for the Bruins in the fact that they covered the spread against mighty Kansas on Sunday. The bottom line is that this team is just a shell of its old self right now, and there are plenty of teams that could be lining up to exact some revenge real soon.
On Deck: Home vs. Mississippi State
8: Arizona State Sun Devils (2-4 ATS, 6-2 SU) (LW: 6) ASU's home loss to Baylor was surprising to say the least, especially as 8.5-point favorites. Can BYU become the first team to top 65 points on this defense when it takes on the Sun Devils in Provo?
On Deck: Away @ BY, Home vs. Delaware State
And the rest...
9: USC Trojans (1-3-1 ATS, 2-4 SU) (LW: 10)
10: Washington Huskies (1-5 ATS, 6-1 SU) (LW: 9)
