New York Giants v New England Patriots
Super Bowl XLVI, Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, Indiana
Sunday, February 5th, 2012, 23:25 GMT (18:25 ET)
The New York Giants take on the New England Patriots tonight in the 2012 Super Bowl.
Giants head coach Tom Coughlin is confident that running back Ahmad Bradshaw (foot) will be passed fit to play and he has been listed as probable.
Wide receiver Hakeem Nicks (shoulder), cornerback Corey Webster (hamstring) and linebacker Jacquian Williams (foot) are expected to play.
Defensive end Osi Umenyiora (ankle and knee) and special-teamer/safety Tyler Sash (foot) were limited in practice this week, but Coughlin on Saturday insisted he did not believe any of his players would be listed as questionable for the game.
New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick is hopeful tight end Rob Gronkowski (ankle) will be able to play after he showed no signs of any negative reaction on Friday in what was his first practice since January 22nd.
Gronkowski's injury status has dominated much of the pre-match headlines and although it is widely expected that he will play, whether his participation will be limited remains to be seen.
The Patriots have no fewer than ten other players listed as questionable, including safety Patrick Chung, guard Logan Mankins (both knee), linebackers Rob Ninkovich (hip) and Brandon Spikes (knee), and Wes Welker (knee).
Right tackle Sebastian Vollmer (foot) and guard Logan Mankins (knee) are likely to return after missing all of the play-offs thus far.
