Super Bowl 2012 kick-off time - what time does the Super Bowl start?

The 2012 Super Bowl takes place tonight at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana with New England Patriots vs. New York Giants kicking off at 23:25 GMT (18:25 EST).

Super Bowl XLVI will be broadcast live in the United States via NBC, while you can watch the Super Bowl in the United Kingdom via the BBC and on Sky Sports, with both broadcasters airing the big game completely live. 

Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth will be providing play-by-play for NBC, while Bob Costas will be involved in today's pre-game coverage.

Just before kick-off, former American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson will sing the national anthem, while Madonna provides the entertainment for tonight's Super Bowl half-time show.

For Crunchsports.com readers in North America, the NFL will stream Super Bowl XLVI live online via their official website, and to mobile phones through Verizon's NFL Mobile app.

New England are generally odds-on with bookmakers to win tonight's 46th annual edition of the Super Bowl, which takes place in Indianapolis for the first time in history.

When these two sides met in 2008, they were separated by just three points and British bookmakers William Hill make New England three point favourites, despite them losing the match four years ago.

With bookmakers seeing record interest in the Super Bowl and facing a monster payout if the Patriots win, Hills are also offering historical markets based on previous classic Super Bowl matches.

In their 2008 meeting, Wes Welker recorded 11 receptions and it is 4/1 that any player manages to repeat that feat.

When New England won the Super Bowl in 2004, they won due to a last seconds field goal from Adam Vinatieri and 12/1 is on offer that the game ends on a successful last drive field goal.

Hill's spokesman Joe Crilly told Crunchsports.com: "These sides are very closely matched and because of this, it may come down to a last minute field goal to split the sides with history potentially repeating itself."

Last year's Super Bowl saw the Green Bay Packers beat the Pittsburgh Steelers, 31-25.
