Montreal Canadiens vs Boston Bruins Preview - NHL November 11th

Montreal are on the road in a Northeast Division battle.

The Montreal Canadiens and Boston Bruins will face one another for the first time this year on Remembrance Day as the Bruins host the Canadiens at 7pm ET.  The two teams have not yet met this season and last year the Canadiens owned the Bruins heads up, winning 5 of their 6 encounters.

Carey Price is coming off of a shutout victory over Vancouver but the Bruins have been playing great hockey all season long as they have been riding solid goaltending for the most part.

The drawback for Boston heading into Thursday night's game is that Montreal will be a fresher team as the Bruins played on Wednesday, a 7-4 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins.

These two teams are neck and neck in the Northeast Division with Montreal holding a slim 2 point lead that will be at risk when the puck drops.

It must be pointed out that Boston, despite sitting in second behind Montreal, are the far better team out of the gates this season and the most likely reason for Montreal's lead is simply that the Canadiens have played 3 more games.

The Habs are +3 in goal differential on the year and that is quite unimpressive compared to Boston's +16, the best in the NHL at this point.

Our prediction is that Boston win tomorrow night by 1 to 2 goals.
