NHL New Jersey Devils vs Calgary Flames Odds

Crunch Sports Staff - 5 Mar 2010

The Devils and Flames are in a coin toss in Calgary tonight.

The New Jersey Devils are in Calgary tonight in the NHL's late game.  Both teams have been sliding in the standings lately although the Devils are coming off of a single win.  Calgary will be looking to get back on track as they currently sit outside of a playoff position despite being one of the Western Conference favorites pre-season.

Game time tonight is at 9:05pm ET and the straight up odds with Players Only depict a coin toss:

New Jersey: -110 (10/11)
Calgary: -110 (10/11)

For short term trends both teams have been mediocre at best.  Calgary are 4-6 straight up in their last ten while the Devils have also gone 4-6 straight up in their last ten.

With both teams struggling lately, the key to this game is to look at the home and away splits because the Devils have been a pretty good road team this year at 18-14 while the Flames have usually struggled at home with a 15-18 record.

With the Flames coming off of a shutout home loss to Minnesota, you have to feel really confident betting against Calgary in this game and that is our recommended wager.  Pick the Devils, who just defeated the San Jose Sharks in their own rink a couple days ago, to win straight up with Players Only at -110.
