Pittsburgh Penguins Odds to Win the Stanley Cup

The Pittsburgh Penguins appear to be the best team in the NHL.

The defending champion Pittsburgh Penguins are really starting to appear to be the best team in the NHL.  They are the first team to win 20 games and they are almost equally tough whether at home or on the road.  The best news with the Pittsburgh Penguins is that their odds are not much shorter than what they were pre-season.

Ladbrokes have the Penguins priced at +500 (5/1) and those are longer odds than most of the other sportsbooks (you can get the same odds with Boylesports, Paddy Power, or William Hill).  If you had bet Pittsburgh pre-season you probably would have got something like +600 (6/1) so the Penguins have not shortened that much and should be bet at their current price to win the Stanley Cup in the spring.

The other favorites in the market include the San Jose Sharks, the Chicago Blackhawks, and the Washington Capitals - all franchises that lack post-season success in the National Hockey League.
