Canada Wins Gold in Olympic Ice Hockey

Sidney Crosby wins it for Canada.

While many hockey fans have only known about Sidney Crosby for about 4 or 5 years, those in the know have been tipping him for the top for a lot longer than that as there were buzzes about 10 years ago about a 13 year old Canadian that wanted to play with the 17 year olds. 

Today, February 28th 2010, Sidney Crosby, still only 22 years old, fulfilled his promise as a Canadian hockey player by sneaking a goal past Ryan Miller in sudden death overtime of the gold medal game at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics.

In a pretty evenly matched final with outstanding goaltending from both Team Canada's Roberto Luongo and the USA's Ryan Miller, Canada won it's 2nd gold medal in the last 3 Olympic games.  Add in Canada's gold medal at the World Cup of hockey in 2004 and one thing is crystal clear and perhaps only re-affirmed: Canada is the best hockey nation in the world.
