Finland vs Germany Olympic Men's Ice Hockey Spread

Crunch Sports Staff - 19 Feb 2010

Game time tonight is at 8:55pm PST (11:55 ET).

The German hockey team is still looking for their first win as they lost their opener to Sweden 2-0 a couple of nights ago.

The Germans will be in tough tonight as they take on the Finnish hockey team in Vancouver, a team with an outside shot at a medal at the 2010 Olympics.

Finland, unlike Germany, really opened their medal drive in Vancouver with an emphatic victory as they defeated Belarus 5-1.

Tonight the Fins are favored again as they have a -2.5 goal spread to cover according to Bodog's betting lines (odds on that line are -130 (10/13)).

Germany cannot be counted on to win a medal in Vancouver in men's hockey, but they still might be a tad underrated.  Playing the Swedes to a 2 goal loss was a bit of a moral victory for the Germans and you have to like betting them to cover against Finland.

Taking Germany to cover the spread will also net you better odds as they are set at +2.5 (+110) with Bodog and that is our recommended bet for this game.
