Ronnie O'Sullivan takes on Judd Trump tonight in week eight of the Premier League in Southampton.

Both are renowned as two of the game's most entertaining attacking players and they have taken the league by storm this season.

World finalist Trump goes into the game in top place on 12 points, having won all four of his matches so far, while the Rocket occupies seventh position, however like Trump, he has an event in hand on the rest of the field.

A win for the young Bristolian would all but confirm his place in the play-offs, whereas O'Sullivan still has work to do if he is to defend his title in Norfolk at the end of the month.

They last met in the 2010 Championship League over a similar format, with Trump recording a surprisingly convincing 3-0 victory.

Their latest encounter in Southampton this evening promises to be a classic, with both well known for their quick-fire styles and clinical break building.

The bookmakers make the experienced O'Sullivan the odds-on favourite going into the game, with the winner going on to face either Ding Junhui or Neil Robertson in the week eight final later this evening.
