Galatasaray set to sign Emmanuel Eboue from Arsenal FC

Galatasaray have confirmed they are in talks with Arsenal over a deal for Emmanuel Eboue.

Galatasaray have been showing interest in the 28-year-old for some time, with reports last month suggesting they were considering making a bid.

And on Monday, the club released a statement to the Turkish stock market confirming they were in talks with the Premier League side over a potential transfer.

Reports last month had suggested the Gunners were open to selling Eboue for around £4million.

The full-back is surplus to requirements at the Emirates and is not part of Arsene Wenger's plans for this season, with the Frenchman still unhappy about him conceding a costly last-minute penalty against Liverpool towards the end of the season.

Arsenal on Monday saw Cesc Fabregas leave the club and complete a dream move to boyhood club Barcelona (see below), while the club are still expected to lose Samir Nasri in the coming days.
