Arsenal are reportedly keen on signing Benfica forward Rodrigo.
The striker, who had a loan spell last season at Bolton, is a target for a number of clubs across Europe and according to the Daily Mail, the Gunners are showing interest in him as a possible replacement for captain Robin van Persie.
Van Persie has less than eighteen months left on his existing contract at Emirates Stadium and is unwilling to discuss a new deal until the end of the season at the earliest.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger knows he faces the prospect of being forced to sell his skipper in the summer unless a new deal is agreed, as the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Manchester City all show interest.
According to Tuesday's report, Inter Milan are also keen on the Spain Under-21 international, who has an £18million release clause in his contract at the Estadio da Luz.
