Arsenal will confirm the signing of Santi Cazorla in the next 24 hours after the midfielder was granted permission by Malaga to join the Gunners' pre-season training camp in Germany.
Cazorla has passed a medical and has agreed personal terms with Arsenal in the past few days, but the deal has been complicated by Malaga's financial problems and a possible takeover of the La Liga club.
But Crunchsports.com understands Arsenal will confirm the signing of the 27-year-old at some point on Tuesday.
Cazorla will move to Emirates Stadium for an initial fee in the region of £15million, plus there are add-ons which could make the deal worth as much as £20m.
Cazorla's Malaga team-mate Enzo Maresca had on Monday said the Spaniard had already been sold.
Cazorla is one of several players set to be sold by Malaga, while coach Manuel Pellegrini could also be set for an exit.
"[Pellegrini] is fundamental for us, just as Cazorla and [Salomon] Rondon were fundamental and who have been sold," he told reporters after the 2-0 pre-season defeat to Juventus at the weekend.
Another Malaga player, Julio Baptista, took to Twitter to also comment on Cazorla's departure.
"I'd like to send a greeting to my two companions who were, Santi Cazorla and a big hug Salomon Rondon will miss you," he tweeted.
Arsenal are also hoping to sign Real Madrid midfielder Nuri Sahin on loan before the new Premier League season kicks off on August 18th.
Arsenal captain Robin van Persie is also with the first-team squad in Germany as speculation continues that he could be set to join Manchester United this month.
