Arsenal FC 2012-13 squad numbers - Jack Wilshere new No. 10 at Arsenal

Arsenal have confirmed Jack Wilshere will wear the No. 10 shirt this season following the departure of Robin van Persie.

Van Persie completed his £24million move to Manchester United on Friday, and Arsenal have confirmed that Wilshere, who has been sidelined for most of the past twelve months through injury, will take his number.

Wilshere's No.19 shirt goes to new signing Santi Cazorla, while another summer arrival, Lukas Podolski, will be wearing the No.9 shirt in his first season in English football.

Podolski had been yet to receive a number, which had further fuelled speculation that Van Persie would leave the north London club this summer.

Another new signing, Olivier Giroud, has been handed the No.12 shirt, while Wojciech Szczesny will now wear the No. 1 jersey following Manuel Almunia's exit from the club at the end of last season.

Park Chu Young, who wore the number nine last season, will have the No.30 shirt for the 2012-13 campaign.
