Arsenal FC target Marvin Martin won't seek move in January transfer window

Sochaux midfielder Marvin Martin, who has been linked with a move to Arsenal, insists he has no intention to quit the Ligue 1 club in the January transfer window.

Martin signed a new contract with Sochaux last month, but his new deal includes a buyout clause which allows him to leave the club next summer.

Newcastle are also believed to be keen on the 23-year-old, who Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is believed to have seen as a possible replacement for Cesc Fabregas.

But Martin insists he will not be on the move in the New Year.

"I've started the season with Sochaux, and I'll finish it with Sochaux as well," he was quoted by Metro as saying.

"I have absolutely no desire to leave the side like that in the middle of the season."

Sochaux president Alexandre Lacombe is believed to have recently rejected bids for the playmaker from Paris Saint-Germain and Lille.
