Arsenal are reportedly planning an end-of-season clearout as manager Arsene Wenger prepares for a summer spending spree.
Wenger is keen on adding several new faces to his squad this summer, and also wants several others - such as captain Robin van Persie - to agree new contracts at Emirates Stadium.
Lukas Podolski, Eden Hazard, and Yann M'Vila are all on Wenger's radar, and according to the Daily Mail, Wenger will free up funds by offloading some of the club's biggest earners.
Andrei Arshavin, who is said to be on a £75,000-a-week deal, is set to be sold when the transfer window reopens, while defender Sebastien Squillaci, along with the likes of Marouane Chamakh, Nicklas Bendtner, Denilson, and Carlos Vela - who are all reportedly on at least £50,000-a-week - will also be shown the exit door.
Goalkeeper Manuel Almunia will also leave the club when his existing deal expires.
Arsenal are believed to be preparing to offer Van Persie a new four-year deal worth around £120,000-a-week, which they hope he will sign despite reports suggesting he could earn over £200,000-a-week by moving elsewhere.
Van Persie is out of contract at the end of next season and is unwilling to discuss a new deal until the end of the current campaign.
AC Milan, Barcelona, Manchester City, and Real Madrid are all believed to be keen on signing the 28-year-old.
But Wenger hopes Champions League football next season, plus the addition of at least two big name signings, will convince his skipper to sign a new deal.
