Arsenal are keen on signing AC Milan starlet Stephan El Shaarawy, according to his agent.

Milan are believed to be considering letting the 19-year-old go out on loan next season, and according to Roberto La Florio, the Gunners have been keen on his client for some time.

El Shaarawy moved to the San Siro from Genoa last summer but has struggled to hold down a regular place in the starting line-up this season.

And La Florio was quoted by Metro as saying: "Arsenal have always admired him - even before he transferred to Milan, but the Rossoneri have already agreed to his ownership, and I do not know if they'll let him go."

The teenager recently hinted at a move to England, admitting: "I really like the English game. Many people always tell me that I have the characteristics to play in the Premier League."
