Tottenham keen on Chelsea FC and Liverpool FC target Salomon Rondon

Malaga striker Jose Salomon Rondon, who has been linked with Chelsea and Liverpool, has reportedly emerged as a target for Tottenham.

22-year-old Rondon scored 11 goals last season for Malaga as they qualified for the Champions League, and his performances have led to interest from several Premier League clubs.

It has been thought for some time that Tottenham have been monitoring the Venezuela international, and according to the Daily Mail, new manager Andre Villas-Boas is weighing up an offer which could see Giovani dos Santos go the other way.

Tottenham's interest comes amid claims the Spanish club are on the brink of a financial crisis, with reports in Spain claiming Malaga owner Sheik Al Thani allegedly owes several players wages.

Rondon's agent Pablo Martinez last month told Spanish newspaper El Mundo Deportivo that he had already received several approaches from Premiership clubs for his client.

And speaking to Venezuelan newspaper El Espectador recently, £15million-rated Rondon admitted: "I have a contract with Malaga for the next two years, and if anyone wants me at his club in England, Germany or whatever, we will have to talk to the club.

"I'm attracted to the Premier League, the league is pretty interesting."

Malaga signed Rondon from Las Palmas in 2010.
