Fiorentina forward Stevan Jovetic has put Chelsea on alert by admitting he is keen on playing in the Premier League.
The 22-year-old, who has also been linked with the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United, and Real Madrid in recent months, only signed a new five-year deal with the Serie A club a few months ago.
But Fiorentina are thought to be prepared to sell the highly-rated youngster and president Andrea Della Valle recently admitted that interest from clubs around Europe had led to a new deal only being agreed after much stalling from the Montenegro international.
Last month a report claimed Chelsea had failed with a £14million bid for Jovetic during the winter transfer window, but the Blues - and other Premier League clubs - are believed to be paying close attention to his performances in Italy.
And the player has hinted at a summer move to England, telling the Daily Star: "I am content in Italy but I’m always looking out to improve myself.
"I have been looking out for a chance to play in the Premier League and I am prepared for that challenge."
According to Tuesday's report, Man City could be interested in a player-plus-cash deal involving either Roque Santa Cruz or Emmanual Adebayor.
