Inter Milan are reportedly keen on signing Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain, who is a target for several Premier League clubs including Chelsea.
And according to Corriere dello Sport, Athletic Bilbao midfielder Javi Martinez, who has been linked with the likes of Barcelona and Manchester United, is also on Inter's radar.
While it remains to be seen whether Claudio Ranieri will still be in charge of the Italian giants next season, club director Marco Branca is said to be drawing up a shortlist of potential summer signings, and Higuain is thought to be near the top of his shopping list.
The Argentina international is widely expected to be offloaded by Real Madrid this summer, especially if the Spaniards sign another forward as they continue to be linked with Arsenal captain Robin van Persie and Manchester City's Sergio Aguero.
As well as Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City are both believed to be keen on the 24-year-old, who would cost in the region of €40million.
Reports in Italy last month revealed that Chelsea failed with a bid for Higuain in January, while it has since been reported in a British newspaper that Los Blancos accepted a bid for the forward, only for the player to reject a move to Stamford Bridge.
Recent reports have suggested that Inter's Serie A rivals Juventus are ready to offer up to €30m for Higuain this summer.
Higuain's agent and father, Jorge Higuain, last month admitted that a move to Chelsea or Juventus would be a "great opportunity".
