Despite spending over £60million already this summer, Chelsea have confirmed they will bring in more new faces, with Edinson Cavani, Hulk, and Radamel Falcao all on their radar.
Chelsea had already spent £40m on luring Marko Marin and Eden Hazard to Stamford Bridge before agreeing a £25m deal for Internacional's Brazilian midfielder Oscar last week.
But with the European champions thought to be keen on bringing in a top striker, in addition to a right-back, the club's chief executive Ron Gourlay has stated that the summer spending spree is by no means over.
Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo is keen on bringing in a forward to replace Didier Drogba, and the likes of Napoli striker Cavani, Porto and Brazil's Hulk, and Atletico Madrid star Falcao, have been on the club's radar for some time.
All three would come with hefty price tags - Napoli want more than £60m for Cavani, Hulk would likely cost in the region of £35m, and Falcao around £30m - but Gourlay insists that owner Roman Abramovich is prepared to open the cheque book again in a bid to sign more world-class players.
"If the right players become available at the right time we will sign them." he told the Daily Mail.
"We've done that and we are still continuing to look at one or two positions and we will see how that develops over the next couple of weeks."
Marseille defender Cesar Azpilicueta is believed to be Di Matteo's top defensive target, with the Ligue 1 club last week confirming the £7m-rated Spaniard could be sold.
