Mehmet Topal a target for Chelsea FC and Manchester City - report

Chelsea and Manchester City are reportedly showing interest in Valencia midfielder Mehmet Topal.

The 25-year-old holding midfielder joined the Spanish side from Galatasaray in summer 2010 for around £5million.

And according to the Daily Mail, the Turkey international, who is believed to have a £10m buy-out clause in his contract, is a target for two of the Premier League's big spenders.

Everton have previously been linked with Topal, who can also play in central defence.

Both Chelsea and City are widely expected to strengthen their squads when the transfer window reopens in January.
