Chelsea Fc New Signing Eden Hazard Impresses On Debut But Vows To Improve

Eden Hazard insists he can improve after impressing on Chelsea FC debut

Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard is refusing to get carried away after making a superb debut in Sunday’s 2-0 win at Wigan.

Hazard, a £32million summer signing from Lille, starred in Chelsea’s first Premier League game of the season, creating Branislav Ivanovic’s opening goal at the DW stadium, and then winning a penalty which was converted by Frank Lampard.

The Belgium international was substituted during the second half for fellow new signing Oscar, but despite dazzling fans as well as manager Roberto Di Matteo, the 21-year-old insisted he still needs to work on his game.

“There are still things to perfect,” Hazard toldRMC Sport.

“In the second half, I lost important balls. At the start of the match, it was very good.

“That’s what’s demanded of me: being decisive. It’s very good and I hope it continues like that.”

Hazard will be in action again on Wednesday night Chelsea play host to newly-promoted Reading in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge.
