Eden Hazard insists he will justify his transfer fee at Chelsea FC

Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard insists he will be able to justify his £32million price tag once the new Premier League season gets underway.

Hazard completed his big money move from Lille to Stamford Bridge last month and made his debut in Sunday's 3-2 defeat to Manchester City in the Community Shield.

And speaking prior to the season opener at Villa Park, the Belgium international insisted he does not feel any extra pressure as a result of the amount of money Chelsea paid to secure his services.

"My transfer fee does not put pressure on me. I am 'Zen' very calm - about it," he told The Sun.

And he added: "I am going to play [some] bad games."

Hazard and Chelsea took the lead against Man City in Sunday's showdown through Fernando Torres, but three goals in 12 second-half minutes from Yaya Toure, Carlos Tevez and Samir Nasri ensured the Premier League champions won the season's traditional curtain-raiser.

Chelsea, who had Branislav Ivanovic sent off for a rash tackle on Aleksandar Kolarov, scored a late goal through Ryan Bertand, but City held on to win their second trophy of 2012.
