Leandro Damiao: Oscar will be a hit at Chelsea FC

Chelsea new signing Oscar can go "a long, long way" with his new club, according to former team-mate and compatriot Leandro Damiao.

Chelsea completed the signing of Oscar on Wednesday and are believed to be paying Internacional around £25million for the attacking midfielder, who is part of the Brazil squad for the London 2012 Olympics.

The 20-year-old will team up with his new team-mates at the conclusion of the Olympic Games, and Damiao, who is also part of the Brazilian Olympic squad, believes the youngster will be a smash-hit in the Premier League.

"It’s going to be difficult to find a midfielder who’s as good as he is, but I know he’s taking the right track and is heading for a club where he can go a long, long way," the forward told FIFA.com.

"It’s just as well I make the most of his assists now because I’m going to miss them later on."

Damiao has also been linked with a move to Europe in recent weeks, with Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, and Tottenham all believed to have been showing interest.
