Chelsea FC 2012-13 squad numbers - Oscar confirmed as new No. 11

Chelsea have confirmed new signing Oscar will wear the No. 11 shirt this season.

Chelsea's other major new signings, Eden Hazard and Marko Marin, had already been given the No.17 and No.21 shirts respectively for the 2012-13 campaign.

But the Blues have announced that Brazil international Oscar, who is currently playing a key role for his country at the London 2012 Olympic Games, will wear No. 11.

The number had been vacant following Didier Drogba's move to Shanghai Shenhua earlier this summer.

Bolo Zenden and Dennis Wise had previously worn the No.11 shirt prior to Drogba.

Oscar last week said his £25million move to Stamford Bridge "is a dream".

"This is a dream for me," he said.

"After the Olympics I am going to talk to the manager. I am ready to do whatever the manager wants me to do.

"For Internacional I played in several different positions, so I have no problem adapting."

Oscar is also determined to help Chelsea build on their Champions League success from last season.

"I'm joining Chelsea hopefully to win more titles," he added.

"The project is very exciting, especially with the young players that they are signing.

"The offer was very good for me and I didn't have to think twice about signing."
