Chelsea target Gregory van der Wiel is reportedly wanted by both Inter Milan and Juventus.

Chelsea have been linked with a move for the 23-year-old throughout the year, with reports in Holland back in August suggesting a deal was set to be completed before the summer transfer window closed.

Those reports were incorrect, but the Blues are still thought to be keen on signing the Netherlands international in the New Year - especially as a move for Porto full-back Alvaro Pereira is unlikely to happen any time soon after he signed a new deal with the Portuguese club.

But according to talkSPORT, both Inter and Juve are ready to beat the west London club in the race to sign Van der Wiel.

The Italian rivals are said to be prepared to lodge bids of around £11million for the Dutchman.

Van der Wiel's agent, Hakim Slimani, earlier this year had revealed that he believed a move to Chelsea could be on the cards.

Roma have also shown interest in recent weeks.
