Dunga: Chelsea FC target Hulk 'is a player every club wants'

Former Brazil coach Dunga believes Porto striker Hulk, who is a transfer target for Chelsea, would be a success at any of Europe's elite clubs.

Chelsea are believed to be closing in on a deal for Hulk as owner Roman Abramovich looks to make him his next big-money signing following the recent £32million deal for Eden Hazard from Lille.

A fee is yet to be agreed, however, with Porto thought to be holding out for at least €40million for the player they value at an incredible €100m.

And Dunga, who handed the 25-year-old his first international cap while in charge of the national team, believes the highly-rated forward would be a quality signing for any club.

Speaking to O JOGO, he said: "It is hard to find a player with his characteristics: strength, power, he wins almost every one-on-one situation and can also decide a match with his shots from medium and long range.

"He is a player that every club wants because he is different from everyone else."

Hulk's agent, Teodoro Fonseca, last week refused to rule out the possibility of his client staying in Portugal next season as clubs struggle to convince Porto to lower their valuation.

Fonseca has confirmed that Chelsea are keen on signing Hulk, but revealed to Record: "The Blues [Chelsea] are not the only European club interested and at the moment it all depends on Porto.

"I am in permanent contact with president Pinto Da Costa but there have been no advances on this subject.

"The club want him to stay and we have received the offer of a new deal.

"If Hulk stays in Porto then there is no problem as he is happy in Porto. He has had three years of interest from big European clubs and he still plays in Portugal."
