Fiorentina forward Stevan Jovetic, who has been linked with Arsenal and Chelsea, is reportedly unhappy by his club's decision to strip him of the captain's armband.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Montenegro international has been told he will no longer skipper the side should he still be at the Stadio Artemio Franchi next season, with Manuel Pasqual set to replace him as captain.
Chelsea have been keen on signing the 22-year-old for some time, while he has also been linked with Arsenal and Napoli in recent weeks.
Serie A champions Juventus are seen as favourites to sign Jovetic, however, after cooling their interest in Napoli forward Edinson Cavani.
Fiorentina sports director Daniele Prade last week insisted clubs looking to sign Jovetic would have to pay around €30million.
"I spoke with the owners and they told me that the player is not on the market," Prade told Sky Sports Italia.
"But there is a gentlemen's agreement and if someone makes an offer for him close to €30million, without some players in exchange, we can sit at a table and discuss.
"But we want to keep Jovetic."
Manchester City and rivals Manchester United have previously shown interest.
