Wigan confirm Victor Moses wants Chelsea FC move

Chelsea know the price they have to pay if they want to sign Victor Moses this month, according to Wigan chairman Dave Whelan.

Chelsea have already failed with three bids for Moses, who is out of contract next summer and has also been linked with Arsenal and Liverpool in recent months.

The 21-year-old is known to be keen on moving to Stamford Bridge, but Wigan are refusing to let him leave the DW Stadium unless their valuation - believed to be somewhere in the region of £10million - is met.

And speaking to ESPN, Whelan said: "I have spoken to Chelsea's chief executive and they are easy to deal with.

"We have told them the price and they will come back and agree it or not.

"We would much prefer the player to sign a new contract and stay but he wants to go to Chelsea and it's a good club so we cannot stand in his way."

It is believed Chelsea's previous offers have all been for no more than £6m, while they have also failed with a cash-plus-player bid.

Whelan recently confirmed he would be prepared to accept a bid for "£8m and some add-ons".
