Chelsea FC will have to pay €10m for Cesar Azpilicueta - report

Marseille defender Cesar Azpilicueta is keen on a move to Chelsea - but the two clubs are yet to agree a fee.

The Blues are widely expected to sign a new right-back this summer after releasing Jose Bosingwa at the end of last season and have been linked with Azpilicueta for some time.

Reports in France last week had suggested Chelsea were hopeful of completing a deal for the Spaniard by the weekend, but according to Inside Futbol, the two sides are some distance apart on his valuation.

Marseille are thought to value the 22-year-old at €10million, with Chelsea believed to be ready to pay around €8m.

Azpilicueta is currently in England preparing to represent Spain at the London 2012 Olympics and has recently stated he believes he has to leave Marseille if he is to feature for Spain at the 2014 World Cup.

The full-back has also been linked with Liverpool and Newcastle in recent weeks.
