Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo will reportedly snub a move to Manchester City or former club Manchester United this summer.
The two Manchester giants, along with Chelsea, were put on alert last week following a report in a British newspaper that suggested Ronaldo was ready to quit Madrid this summer.
The 27-year-old was also linked with a return to former club United at the end of last year, with reports in Spain suggesting he was ready to quit Los Blancos after being unhappy with the criticism received from fans following the recent defeat to Barcelona in El Clasico.
But according to Daily Star, Ronaldo, who scored his sixth hat-trick of the season against Levante at the weekend, is ready to stay in the Spanish capital after slowly winning over his critics in recent weeks.
According to Wednesday's report, City were prepared to break the bank to land the Portugal international at the end of the season, while United were also interested in re-signing their former winger if Madrid had agreed to sell.
Last week the Sunday Express had reported that Ronaldo had told close friends that his "dream" move to the Spanish capital had become tarnished, opening the door to a return to the Premier League.
Ronaldo, who left Old Trafford in 2009 for a world-record £80million fee, admitted last year that he is still in contact with United boss Sir Alex Ferguson.
And speaking last September, he refused to rule out a second spell in the Premier League, saying of a possible return to England: "I hope so, because I know the league, I know the players, I know the atmosphere."
