Barcelona forward David Villa is reportedly aiming to return to action for April's El Clasico clash with Real Madrid.

Villa was ruled out of action for five months after fracturing the tibia of his left leg last December and said shortly after sustaining the injury that he was aiming to return in time for the Champions League final on May 19th.

But according to Marca, the 30-year-old, who is hopeful of being part of the Spain squad for Euro 2012 this summer, is looking to return in time for the April 22nd derby clash with rivals Real Madrid.

Villa is spending up to six hours per day cycling, swimming, and undergoing electrotherapy to help speed up his recovery.

He is also set to start running before the end of this month, before working on strengthening his muscles from March.

Villa, who late last year was linked with a move to Chelsea and Liverpool, was injured during December's Club World Cup in Japan.
