Facts and stats ahead of tonight's Euro 2012 Group C clash at the Municipal Stadium in Poznan where Ireland take on Croatia (19:45 BST kick-off).

- Ireland and Croatia have met on just two occasions, each winning at home as they met in qualifying for Euro 2000.

- Republic of Ireland’s only previous appearance in the finals of the European Championships tournament was at Euro 1988, when they were eliminated from the group stages.

- But Ireland did make it past the group stages in their last three appearances at major tournaments (World Cup 1990, 1994 and 2002).

- Croatia won all three group games at Euro 2008 and have made the quarter-finals in two of their previous three appearances in this tournament.

- Ireland scored more goals from set-pieces (10) than any other nation in qualification for Euro 2012 - 50 per cent of their goals total in qualifying.
