Neymar continues to be linked with a move to Europe, with Barcelona, Chelsea, and Real Madrid all keen on signing the Santos star.

The 20-year-old, who has also been linked with ambitious Russian outfit Anzhi Makhachkala along with big-spending Manchester City, last year snubbed a move to Europe and pledged his future to Santos, although speculation continues that he could be on the move before his contract expires after the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Barcelona are widely seen as favourites to sign the £40million-rated forward, although last summer reports had suggested that Real Madrid were closing in on the exciting Brazil international.

Neymar is fast becoming one of the most sought-after young players in world football, dazzling for both club and country (see slideshow to right of page for a selection of images of him in action).

He has been urged by a number of players and ex-professionals to quit Santos and move to Europe to help further his game, with former Brazil internationals Ronaldo and Ronaldinho recently calling for him to leave South America.

Santos coach Muricy Ramalho insists Neymar can remain at Santos and still be the best in the world, but Ronaldo last week insisted otherwise.

"[Lionel] Messi is at a higher level than any other player on the planet," he told TV Cultura

"Neymar is our biggest talent. I believe that he can be better than Messi. There is still big room for improvement for him, but not if he keeps playing in Brazil.

"If he does not play abroad, it is clear that he will not be the best in the world. Although Brazilian football is growing, it still does not have the potential to impress abroad."
