Lionel Messi was named the best player of the 2011 Club World Cup after his two goals help Barcelona to beat Santos in Sunday's final.
Messi's brace came either side of goals from Xavi and Cesc Fabregas as the Spanish and European champions thrashed the South American side 4-0.
Messi won the award ahead of Xavi and Santos striker Neymar, who finished second and third respectively.
Xavi had been recognised for not only his goal but also his contributions towards Messi's opener, while Neymar had impressed in Santos' semi-final win over Kashiwa Reysol.
The 19-year-old has been linked with a move to Barca in recent weeks, while a report on Sunday morning suggested he is a £45million target for Chelsea (see below).
Barcelona's victory on Sunday gave them their fifth title of 2011 following their success in La Liga, the Champions League, the European Super Copa and the Supercopa.
