Liverpool are reportedly keen on signing Swansea midfielder Joe Allen.
The Wales international has impressed for Swansea this season and is believed to have been watched by Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish for some time.
And according to Caughtoffside.com, Dalglish is now preparing to make a move to sign the Wales international after being impressed by what he has seen.
Swansea would be extremely reluctant to sell the 21-year-old, who only recently signed a new four-year deal with the club, but it is thought that he could be tempted by the chance to move to Merseyside.
Although Dalglish has the likes of Charlie Adam, Jordan Henderson and Jay Spearing to play alongside Steven Gerrard in central midfield, he and Liverpool director of football Damien Comolli have a long-term plan to bring some of the best young players in Britain to Anfield.
Although the transfer window reopens next week, it is thought that any bids for the Carmarthen-born youngster are more likely to be made next summer.
