Agent insists Liverpool FC target Gaston Ramirez won't be sold in January

Liverpool target Gaston Ramirez will not leave Bologna in January, according to his agent.

The 21-year-old has been on the Merseysiders' radar for some time, while Chelsea and Manchester United are believed to have sent scouts to Italy earlier this year to watch the Uruguay international in action.

Several Serie A sides including Juventus are also believed to be keen on the midfielder, but his agent insists there will be no move taking place next month.

"There is nothing to say about Ramirez," Vincenzo D'Ippolito told Calciomercato.

"He's only just extended his contract. He won't be leaving Bologna."

Bologna vice-president Maurizio Setti recently hinted at a deal happening in the New Year following reports in Italy suggesting Liverpool were favourites to sign the youngster.

Barcelona and Real Madrid are also believed to have shown interest.
