Santos stiker Neymar, who has been linked with Barcelona, Real Madrid, and most recently Manchester United, has been urged to join the Catalans rather than Los Blancos if he ever decides to move to Spain.

Neymar is one of the most sought-after players in world football after a string of impressive performances for club and country over the last two years.

Chelsea and Juventus are also believed to be showing interest in the 20-year-old, but according to AC Milan forward Robinho, his compatriot should seek a move to Camp Nou should he decide to test himself in La Liga if and when he leaves South America.

"It will be very difficult for Neymar to become the best player in the world in the Brazilian league," Robinho told Lancenet.

"That's why he should make the move to La Liga.

"If he decides to leave Santos and he has the choice to join Real Madrid or Barcelona, I would advise him to pick Barca.

"Barcelona are a great club and Brazilians have always done well there."

The £40million-rated forward last year snubbed a move to Europe and opted to sign a new deal with Santos which ties him to the club until after the 2014 World Cup.
