Fulham receive enquiries from Man Utd and Tottenham for Moussa Dembele - report

Tottenham are reportedly leading Manchester United in the race to sign Moussa Dembele from Fulham.

Dembele has been linked with Man Utd throughout the summer, while Arsenal and Chelsea are also believed to be showing interest.

But the £15million-rated 25-year-old has also been on Tottenham's radar for some time, and according to Goal.com, both Spurs and United have made enquiries for the midfielder in recent weeks.

Tottenham have money to spend following the £33million sale of Luka Modric to Real Madrid on Monday, and according to Monday's report, the north London club are now frontrunners in the race to sign the Belgium international, who recently claimed he had been in contact with Madrid.

Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas is known to be keen on bringing in at least one midfielder before the transfer window closes on Friday and has already lodged bids for Rennes' Yann M'Vila and Shakhtar Donetsk playmaker Willian (see Related Articles).

Fulham know they are unable to compete with the Premier League's big guns and will likely accept a bid for Dembele should they receive an attractive offer. Martin Jol has warned, however, that the player will not leave Craven Cottage on the cheap.

"Dembele is playing and he likes the club so there’s no problem," Jol said at the weekend.

"You have to pay a lot of money to get Dembele, so there won’t be a lot of clubs putting that sort of money on the table.

"So I think we are fine."

The summer transfer window closes at 23:00 BST on Friday.
