Man Utd hoping £30m bid will see them sign Lucas Moura - report

Manchester United are reportedly hoping to complete the signing of Sao Paulo starlet Lucas Moura in a £30million deal.

United have made Moura one of their top transfer targets and have had two bids for the 19-year-old rejected over the past fortnight.

Inter Milan and Real Madrid are also keen on signing the teenager, although United are widely seen as favourites to win the race to secure his services.

And according to the Daily Mail, the Red Devils are looking to push through a deal for the teenager, with a delegation from Brazil expected in England for talks with the Premier League giants.

According to Saturday's report, Paris Saint-Germain are also showing interest in the Brazil international, who is currently in action at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Reports in Italy earlier this week claimed Moura, who recently announced he plans to make a decision on his future at the conclusion of the Olympics, was closing in a move to Inter.

Sao Paulo, however, insist this is not the case.

Vice-president Joao Paulo de Jesus Lopes on Friday insisted United were the only club to have tabled a bid for Moura, while following reports of interest from Premier League champions Manchester City, Sao Paulo sports director Adalberto Baptista told Calciomercato: "Interest from Manchester City? We are not aware of it and we have not had contact with them."

Baptista also commented on the reports linking the highly-rated midfielder with Inter.

"An offer of €25million for Lucas from Inter Milan? We have not received written offers from Inter and that figure should not be enough, since we have already refused an official offer of €32million for our player," he added.
