Inter Milan still keen on signing Man Utd target Lucas Moura

Inter Milan have confirmed they are still keen on battling Manchester United in the race to sign Sao Paulo starlet Lucas Moura this summer.

Moura, who has also been linked with Chelsea and Real Madrid, is one of a number of players on Man Utd's radar, and United officials flew to Brazil late last week to try and complete a deal.

Sao Paulo have confirmed that they have received bids from both United and Real Madrid for the exciting Brazil international, who will represent his country later this month at the London Olympics, and according to Lancenet, that offer is worth €33million.

The Brazilian club have previously dismissed claims from Inter president Massimo Moratti that the Italian giants have lodged a bid for the 19-year-old.

But Moratti insists the club are still in the hunt to sign the highly-rated teenager, although he admits he facing stiff competition in the race to sign Moura.

"Let's see, let's see...There is an auction that seems challenging, but Inter are [in] there," he told reporters in Milan.

"But I'd prefer to see something done right or not at all."

Sao Paulo vice-president Joao Paulo de Jesus Lopes had on Friday told FCInternews.it: "I can say that we have not yet received any official offer from Inter [Milan] for Lucas, nor have we received any information about any proposal from them.

"With regards to the offers from Manchester United and Real Madrid, we are studying them internally. We cannot say anything else for obvious reasons.

"Everyone knows that there is a release clause of €80million for all those who want to sign Lucas."
